When Molly K. Miceli, a registered nurse, realized that health care often didn't extend past the hospital or doctor's office door, she decided to make a difference. She founded LifeStyle Options, Inc., to provide home care services that encourage adults to be independent as long as possible and to live at home with dignity, comfort, and security. Today, LifeStyle Options provides hourly and live-in private duty care, as well as health care facility staffing and senior housing services. "Growing a company is never easy," says Miceli, "but to be able to make a difference in someone's life is a wonderful reward. Almost as soon as we started, we had an experience that reinforced all we were trying to do. We received a referral from a nursing home for companion care for one of their residents. It was a beautiful spring day, so our caregiver took the gentleman outside in his wheelchair. Imagine her consternation when she saw tears running down his cheeks. When asked what was wrong, the man responded, 'Nothing at all. It's just been so long since I've felt the sun on my face.' It turned out that it had been more than two years since he had been outside! These types of interactions are the reason we exist."

• Must Read & Speak english clearly
• Screen & test before interview
• Extensive interview process that covers experience, behavior & client situations.
• Appropriate IDs for legal work authorization
• References checked
• Criminal background check (result must be clear)
• Licensure & Certification check
• TB or chest x-ray
• 4 hours of training at hire
• 4 hours of training within 30 days after hire
• SPA Training - personal care
• Annual training and as needed
• DMV checks on workers who drive clients
• Competencies conducted by supervisor, on site, at least every 90 days
• Uniforms & ID Badges are worn at ALL times
